Waterfall Information

The following are waterfalls you can hike to. Some are an easier hike than others.  We will list the easiest to the most strenuous in order of their difficulty.

Remember to wear shoes that will keep your feet dry as some of the trails are damp depending on the season.  You should also wear shoes that are sturdy for hiking such as hiking boots.

Animals are not allowed on the trails unless otherwise posted.

EASY:

Laurel Falls - 2.5 mile roundtrip hike on a paved trail featuring double-drop falls from 60'.  Laurel Falls Trail is 3.9 miles west of Sugarland Visitor Center on Little River Road.

Indian Creek Falls - 2 mile roundtrip hike on the Deep Creek Trail just past Deep Creek Campground featuring 60' falls.

Grotto Falls - A 3 mile roundtrip hike off Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail featuring the only walk-behind falls in the Park.

Flat Creek Falls - 4 mile roundtrip hike from the Heintooga Picnic Area.

MODERATE:

Hen Wallow Falls - 4.5 mile roundtrip hike on the Gabes Mountain Trail which begins at the Cosby Campground entrance, featuring 95' cascading falls.

Juney Whank Falls - .6 mile roundtrip hike from the end of Deep Creek Road featuring 125' cascading falls.

Abram Falls - 5 mile roundtrip hike from the back of Cades Cove Loop featuring 25' falls.

Chasteen Creek Falls - 4 mile roundtrip hike from Smokemont Campground featuring 15' falls.

Baskins Creek Falls - 3 mile roundtrip hike from the start of the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail.

Fern Falls - 4 mile roundtrip hike from Porters Creek Trailhead in Greenbrier Park.

Mingo Falls - .5 mile roundtrip hike, located outside of the park in Mingo Falls Campground.

DIFFICULT:

Ramsay Cascades - 8 mile roundtrip hike featuring the Park's highest falls.  At the Greenbrier entrance to the Park, follow the signs to the Ramsay Cascades hiking trail.

Rainbow Falls - 5.5 mile roundtrip hike featuring 80' drop falls.  The trail begins on Cherokee Orchard Road at the Rainbow Falls parking area.
