Motor Trail Information

Following are a few motor trails that you can take a leisurely drive on and enjoy the scenery.  There are over 250 motor trails.  Stop by any visitor/welcome center to obtain more information.

Please obey speed limits and be courteous to other motorist. There are pull offs provided to allow passing if you wish to travel slower than the other vehicles on the trail.

Please do not feed the animals for your protection and the animals.

Roaring Fork - This motor trail is one mile from Gatlinburg.  Along this 6 mile trail you can view waterfalls, streams, mountain views, wildflowers and historic buildings.

Clingmans Dome - Clingmans Dome is 23 miles from Gatlinburg.  Clingmans Dome road is 7 miles long. It peaks at 6,643'.  Visibility is 23 miles or more depending on the day.

Cades Cove - Cades Cove is 30 miles from Gatlinburg.  Cades Cove is an 11 mile one way loop.  You will see historic buildings along the way.  Some of them you can stop and tour.
